Volvo China Open: European Tour DraftKings Picks
By Sam Belden
Ross Fisher — 5th
This Englishman was never able to find his niche on the PGA TOUR, but when it comes to his home circuit, he remains one of the most reliable stars in the game. What’s more, Fisher has flashed some really nice form through the first few months of this year, so we’ve got every reason to trust him heading into the Volvo China Open.
Fisher enters this week on a run of three top five finishes in his last four starts, including a tie for third at the WGC-Mexico Championship, a tie for fifth at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and a tie for third just last week at the Shenzhen International. Those great results make him one of the hottest players in the field — only Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger, with his recent victory at the Shenzhen, can rival his form. In addition, Fisher displayed some positive signs at last year’s Volvo China Open, shooting a couple of rounds in the 60s despite some struggles to close out the week.
At $11,800 in DraftKings, Fisher is only slightly less expensive than Wiesberger, but he’s been miles more consistent this year. He’s more than capable of anchoring your fantasy lineup, so don’t be afraid to take the plunge.
