Johnson tied for second at Eagle Point last week, giving him a whopping six podium finishes in just eight starts this year. That outstanding play has lifted him to the summit of the Official World Golf Ranking, as well as the pole position in the race to the FedEx Cup. A statistical stud, he ranks second on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off-the-tee and third in strokes gained: approach-the-green, so he shouldn’t have any trouble scoring this week. While he hasn’t exactly been automatic at TPC Sawgrass over the years, he’s hitting it well enough to contend anywhere.

Coming off of twin 67s on the weekend at the Wells Fargo, Johnson has rid himself of any rust he may have accumulated during his month-long break from competitive action. Expect him to thrive this week.
