Justin Thomas — No. 10

There was a time earlier this year when it looked like this young gun would never lose another golf tournament in his life, so it’s a little surprising that Thomas has been shut out of the top 10 for the past two months. Still, with his immense potential and intriguing bit of history at TPC Sawgrass, he should remain a popular option among fantasy managers this week.

Thomas’ most recent top-10 finish was his tie for fifth at the WGC-Mexico Championship back in March, but it’s not like he’s been terrible since then — in fact, his tie for 22nd at The Masters was a career-best finish at that event. Even with his recent downturn in form, he still ranks 10th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off-the-tee and 13th in strokes gained: approach-the-green, a potentially lethal combination. Thomas doesn’t have a ton of experience at THE PLAYERS Championship, but with a tie for third at last year’s event, the course clearly suits his eye.

Available for an $8,900 DraftKings salary, Thomas won’t come cheap this week, but he’s still got a chance to provide tremendous value. With his big-time talent, it feels like he’s due for another win, and he’d love to pick up where he left off last year.
