Martin Kaymer — No. 48

It’s been nearly three years since Kaymer won his last professional title, but he’s managed to remain inside the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking by being one of the most consistent players in the world. As a past winner at TPC Sawgrass, he should have what it takes to make a serious run at the trophy this week.

Remarkably, Kaymer’s last missed cut came at the 2016 Valspar Championship, so he’s nearly a lock to tee it up in all four rounds this week. What’s more, he’s found the top 25 in six of his last seven starts, with notable finishes including a tie for fourth at the Honda Classic and a tie for 16th at The Masters. Those recent results look even better next to Kaymer’s enviable track record at THE PLAYERS Championship — he’s survived the cut in every year dating back to 2009, winning the whole thing in wire-to-wire fashion three years ago. At 21st on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting, he should have what it takes to provide more jaw-dropping moments at TPC Sawgrass.

At $7,300 in DraftKings, Kaymer has the potential to pack a serious fantasy punch this week. Don’t be surprised if he makes it two titles in four years.
