Rory McIlroy is a man all too familiar with the RTD top 10.  Rory is the first of several in the top 10 who also retain a PGA TOUR card and do most of their playing on the TOUR. Having only played in four Race to Dubai point events this season, McIlroy’s standing is all the more impressive.

Out of McIlroy’s four starts so far this season, he only has one finish outside the top 10. This occurred at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, where he finished T-30 after not making it out of the opening stage of matches. Other than that, he has a solo second-place finish, and two T-7’s, all three of which earned him solid amounts of points towards his season total.

Rory’s lack of point events played can be attributed to his missed time due to injury. Early in the season, at a tournament run by Ernie Els, Rory fractured a rib and had to shut everything down following the weekend. Unfortunately, Rory remained sidelined for almost two months, up until his return at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

Look for Rory to continue amassing points as the season progresses.
