At number eight sits an exciting, young player out of Belgium, Thomas Pieters. So far this season, Pieters has played in just five RTD point events, but has had no trouble securing enough points to sit comfortably within the top 10.

Out of his five starts this season, Pieters has two top 10’s and one top 25. With these finishes and only one missed cut it has been a fairly easy task to accumulate points. Pieters is one of two players to receive a Special Temporary Card for the remainder of the PGA TOUR season. So although he currently sits safely inside the top 10, his lack of European Tour play is going to make it difficult to keep his position intact.

Pieters has shown great promise through the start of 2016-17 season. It seems that after top-five finishes in both a WGC events and The Masters, and given his skill and physical attributes, Pieters’ future is definitely bright. Let’s see if he can sustain the pace and stay in the top 10 for the remainder of the season.
