Ryan Palmer — $8,200

This veteran PGA Tour member might not ever win a major championship, but he still manages to contend for his share of trophies at the regular stops. With his outstanding tee-to-green game, Palmer looks like a good bet to shoot some low scores in his native Lone Star State this week.

At 14th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off-the-tee and eighth in strokes gained: approach-the-green, Palmer has been automatic with his longer clubs this season — it’s the putter that’s tripped him up. Even so, the 40-year-old has notched a pair of top 15 finishes in his last three starts, including a tie for sixth at the Valero Texas Open. His lengthy history with TPC Four Seasons is a bit uneven, but with four top 25 finishes in the last six years, including a solo second in 2011, the experience is definitely there. Between his course knowledge and the home-field advantage, he’ll have a lot to look forward to this week.

While his $8,200 DraftKings salary might seem a bit steep at first glance, Palmer is consistently underrated by fantasy managers. He looks poised to make a serious run, so look for him to earn every penny of that salary.
