Still one of the hottest games to release on the PlayStation Vita, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is a great golf game to play on the portable.

When the PlayStation Vita, the latest portable from the gaming giant, was released, it had several launch titles. One of those was Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational and it is still one of the best golf video games to ever release on the small console.

World Invitational presented gamers with more unique characters, a trademark in the legendary series, as well as stunning courses. The game took you all over the globe as you looked to dominate your challengers. Starting off with already unlocked characters, you worked your way through a challenge mode in which you faced off against new opponents. Eventually, once they were unlocked, you could use them to help you as your journey gets tougher.

The courses in World Invitational were not only among the most beautiful but the most challenging as well, which only added to the fun.

My go-to players were Isabelle and Grace. Isabelle was excellent if you wanted somebody with pure accuracy off the tee and beyond while Grace was powerful and had terrific recovery skills. Basically, certain characters can help you win different tournaments on difficult courses.

The courses in World Invitational were not only among the most beautiful but the most challenging as well, which only added to the fun. The graphics were also top-notch for a portable game. One of the Vita’s strengths was supposed to be the graphics and World Invitational displayed this excellently.

Today, the Vita is used heavily for Remote Play, a powerful feature that allows you to play your PS4 games anywhere in the world. But Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational still remains one of the best Vita games of all time and the best the iconic series has to offer.
