18. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 was beautiful on the PS3 and Xbox 360 while being content heavy on the PS2 and original Xbox ,making it a joy to play.

Of course we had to get in a Tiger Woods game at some point and trust me, there’s plenty more to come. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 was released right smack dab in the middle of a generational change for consoles. Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 were still brand-new and players had to start to adjust.

The PS2 experience was loaded and featured mini-games such as hitting the targets among other things. It also showcased 21 courses, a whopping amount at the time. Some of the courses were fictional but most were famed tracks such as Pebble Beach and St. Andrews. There were also over 50 golfers, including 21 PGA and LPGA Tour pros. The others are all fun, fantasy characters that players could use.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were dumbed down a bit, featuring only 12 courses. However, the beautiful graphics and artistic nature of the game still made it a joy. Little things such as word fonts had a more elegant feel to them and the sound of the driver hitting the ball was beautiful. That’s when you realized you were playing a next-generation golf game.

I also will say that I spent a ton of time on the game on the PlayStation Portable. Ah, all of those majors and yet, my trophy case is still empty.
