16. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09
The highest-selling golf game of all time introduced gamers to Hank Haney, Tiger Woods’ coach at the time, while also including a neat club-tuning feature.
Yup, another Tiger game. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 was the first golf game ever to feature a real swing coach in Hank Haney, who was Tiger’s instructor at the time.
This game also happens to be the highest-selling golf game of all time with over three million copies sold globally. This is across all platforms, including the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The Wii’s version of the game sold the most at over one million copies.

This would also be the first and last game to feature the broadcast team of Kelly Tilghman and Sam Torrance. Tilghman teamed up with Scott Van Pelt for the next couple of installments. One of the things that immediately stood out with TW09 was the gameplay.
Not only were the graphics improved, but the swing looked better and the game felt smoother. The lighting was improved and the game just felt more realistic. This was also the first game to include the Swing Tuner, a lit driving range where you can adjust your clubs.
By doing this, you could increase the power of your driver or the accuracy of your irons among other things. Once you’re ready, you can test it on the range. The Wii version of the game would steal the show, being nominated for numerous console awards, including Sports Game of the Year.
