With a win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, runner-ups at the WGC-Mexico Championship and the Shenzhen International, a T3 at the Hong Kong Open, and no missed cuts in his last 8 European Tour starts, Tommy Fleetwood is coming to Wentworth with a very hot hand!

Fleetwood’s not especially long off the tee – he’s been averaging a bit over 300 yards and that puts him at 58th on the Tour in length. However, the Englishman is deadly accurate with all his sticks. He ranks 13th on the Tour when it comes to hitting the fairways and he follows that up by hitting 83% of the greens in regulation. That puts him well out in front of the pack – he ranks 2nd on the Tour in GIR. His flatstick is his weakness. He’s averaging 31.5 putts per round – 174th on the Tour, but at 69.58 stroke per round he ranks 6th on the Tour is is staying competitive.

If his putting doesn’t hang him up look for Tommy Fleetwood to contend this week at the BMW PGA Championship. I think the oddsmakers have underestimated him and his PGA TOUR SG: total of 2.089 bears me out.
