Matt Fitzpatrick earned his most recent win last November at the DP World Championship. The past U.S. Amateur champion with the smooth as silk putting stroke continues his climb through the European Tour and world ranks. Don’t pay any attention to that missed cut at Abu Dhabi in January.  He followed it up with a top 5 finish in Dubai and then a top 20 at the WGC-Mexico Championship.

Although Fitzpatrick’s post-Masters PGA TOUR campaign didn’t meet with much success – he missed two consecutive cuts at the RBC Heritage and THE PLAYERS – look for a return to home soil to life his spirits. His game is solid and well-rounded and he’s ahead of the pack when it comes to GIR, ranking 12th on the European Tour.

I’m looking for Fitzpatrick to improve on his T47 2016 finish this week at Wentworth.
