Jordan Spieth — $12,000

He may have had a rough go of it at his hometown event, the AT&T Byron Nelson, but you’re not going to want to take a pass on Spieth this week. The proud Texan is the owner of a sterling track record at Colonial, so plug him into your lineup or risk being left in the dust by your competition.

As this week’s defending champion, Spieth should return to a warm reception — it’s hard to forget his stirring victory from 12 months ago, when he shot twin 65s on the weekend to win by three shots. He also lost by a single stroke in 2015 and has compiled two other top 15s, giving him a 100 percent success rate at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational. That outstanding track record should make up for the fact that he’s missed his last two cuts. To be fair, however, both of those lost weeks came on courses where he’s struggled in the past.

With two extra days to prepare for his title defense, Spieth should roll into Colonial rested and ready to regain his confidence. At $12,000 in DraftKings, he’s a bank breaker, but he can catapult you to the top of the standings if you build the right team around him.
