Jason Dufner — $9,000

This veteran has had his share of close calls at Colonial — he finished one stroke behind Zach Johnson in 2012, then lost a playoff to Adam Scott two years later. At 40 years of age, his window appears to be closing rapidly, but Dufner should still have enough game to pack a fantasy punch this week.

Dufner is a regular at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational, making the cut in each of the past five seasons and picking up a tie for sixth in last year’s edition to go along with his pair of runner-ups. While 2017 hasn’t been his best campaign, it certainly hasn’t been his worst — he’s managed to compile eight top 25 finishes, including two in the last six weeks. His short game has tripped him up at times, but he still ranks 51st or better in three distinct strokes gained categories, a testament to his well-rounded skill set.

Available for $9,000 in DraftKings, Dufner’s price tag for this week’s event is steep. Then again, this is a two-time runner-up and a proven ball striker we’re talking about, so he should have every chance to give you a nice return on investment. Remarkably, he’s still without a top 10 this season, but I’ve got a feeling that’s about to change.
