Pat Perez — $7,600

You can’t really call him a breakout star — Perez has been a PGA TOUR member for more than 15 years now, and his hotheaded tendencies in his younger days made him one of the game’s bigger names — but this Arizona State product is currently enjoying his best season as a professional. Look for him to continue his barrage of birdies at Colonial, a place where he’s seen some past success.

With five top 25 finishes in his last six starts, including a share of second place at the Wells Fargo Championship, Perez has been rising to the occasion against weak fields and world-class competition alike. That stretch also includes a tie for 17th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a tie for 18th at the Masters and a tie for 22nd at THE PLAYERS Championship, so we know his game can travel to all sorts of courses. The 41-year-old  missed last year’s Dean & DeLuca Invitational due to injury, but he put on a show in 2015, shooting a Sunday 64 to rocket into a tie for fifth. With his form currently better than it’s ever been, he should be able to do something similar this week.

At $7,600, Perez’s DraftKings salary is more than reasonable. He probably won’t keep rolling like this forever, but he hasn’t given us a reason to doubt him yet.
