Dean & DeLuca Invitational: Top DFS fantasy picks
By Sam Belden
Nick Taylor — $7,300
As a rookie, this Canadian was known more for his long stretches of poor play than anything else, but a couple of years on the PGA TOUR can do a lot for a young player. These days, Taylor is navigating the circuit with a veteran’s consistency, making him a player to watch at the Dean & DeLuca Invitational.
With four consecutive top-25 finishes, Taylor is in the midst of his most consistent stretch as a professional. As a result, he’s risen to the 197th spot in the Official World Golf Ranking, right around where he was after winning the 2014 Sanderson Farms Championship. He’s only gotten hotter over the last two weeks, posting a tie for eighth at the AT&T Byron Nelson and a tie for ninth at the Wells Fargo Championship, so you have to believe that more good rounds are on the way. He’s also survived the cut in both of his past starts at Colonial, never finishing outside the top 50.
Taylor hasn’t been of much use to fantasy managers over the years, but that should change with his recent uptick in form. At just $7,300 in DraftKings, he’s available for a more than reasonable salary, so invest away.
