There are a few golf games coming out soon that mark the start of a new era of golf gaming. In the meantime, there are five games you should check out that are available right now.

Golf video games are experiencing a period of resurgence, with Infinite Minigolf, The Golf Club 2 and Everybody’s Golf all releasing within the next four months. In the meantime, to whet your appetite, there are several golf video game experiences immediately available to be enjoyed.

The possibilities range from arcade to simulation style, so there is a sweet selection to choose from as you await the new releases. As golf gamers, we love the sound of the virtual ball rolling into the cup, so we always love to have a game that satisfies our gaming needs.

Sure, we may not see a golf game become a juggernaut in sports gaming like the NBA 2K or MLB The Show franchises. But with quality games coming out, golf is making a rise in the video game world once again.

Infinite Minigolf is the sequel to Planet Minigolf which made our top 20 golf video games of the 2000’s list. The Golf Club 2 is the next installment in the franchise that revolutionized sports gaming with its Greg Norman Course Designer feature. Finally, Everybody’s Golf will be the latest installment in the beloved PlayStation franchise known as Hot Shots Golf.

There’s even a game in the works called “Nuclear Golf” which is a classic looking arcade style golf game, where you play the sport in a post apocalyptic world. It will be available on the PS4 and PS Vita systems so you can play at home and on the go. However, the game was delayed, so there’s no release date yet, but if it does work out, then it’s just another golf game to add to your collection.

So, if you’re feeling excited about the new golf video games coming out, here are five you can enjoy right now. There’s a little something for everybody. Whether you like console, PC or mobile games, here are some fun games to check out (note: this is not a top five list).
