Rahm has been a first-timer at most of the courses he’s played this season, but that hasn’t stopped him from reeling off six top-five finishes, including a share of second place at last week’s Dean & DeLuca Invitational. Don’t expect him to let up now, especially at a bomber’s paradise like Muirfield Village.

Rahm had a superb statistical week at Colonial, leading the field in strokes gained: tee-to-green and tying for sixth in greens in regulation. No wonder he ranks fifth on the PGA TOUR in birdie average, as well as 10th in scoring average and fourth in FedExCup points. It’s all added up to a pair of top-five finishes since The Masters, so his confidence should be soaring as he heads to the Memorial Tournament. His inexperience is the one major knock against him but we’ve seen prodigies excel at Muirfield Village in the past.

With 14 top-25 finishes in the last year, Rahm has enjoyed a faster rise to stardom than just about any player in the last ten years. He’s bound to nab another victory sooner or later and the prestige of the Memorial should provide plenty of motivation. Look for him to be on the first page of the leaderboard.
