Joost Luiten finished alongside Victor Dubuisson last week at Wentworth, just barely inside the top 25, and I’m looking for him to improve on that performance this week at Barseback.

Luiten is a steady performer with five European Tour victories on his resumé and in the nine months since his most recent win at the KLM Open, Luiten has been playing some impressively consistent golf as he searches for another breakthrough. He rarely finishes outside the top 25.

Although Luiten is a better-than-average driver of the ball – he ranks 182nd in driving distance and 74th in accuracy off the tee – he has a nice touch as he gets closer to the putting surface. Ranking 78th in GIR, the Dutchman manages to get ahead of the field as he approaches the green and once there he wields his flatstick with considerable skill.

Like Victor Dubuisson, Joost Luiten may not challenge for the top of the leaderboard at the Nordea Masters but I’m looking for a high finish from him.
