9. Brian Harman

1,132 points, 19 events (59.58 avg.)

One win, five top-tens

Last two weeks: DNP AT&T Byron Nelson, T7 Dean & Deluca Invitational

Harman remains comfortably in the top 10 in the FedEx Cup points race. Harman has enjoyed the benefits of some excellent golf recently, with three top 10s and a win in his last five starts.

The only concern as the season wears on is that his game may wear down with the volume of his play, but that hasn’t happened yet. Here’s why – despite five missed cuts so far this year, Harman is still ranked inside the top 20 in nearly every meaningful putting statistic.

Harman isn’t going to compare to some of the big guns on TOUR when it comes to distance, and he’s not the most pure iron player, either. He’s earning everything on the mental toughness of a world-class putter, and it’s paying off thus far.

What Harman will need to do through the summer to maintain this position is to compete – consistently. With so many big events littering the stretch from here through the FedEx Cup playoffs, the challenges are only going to be tougher. We’ll learn a lot about Harman as he pushes for one of the easiest roads to the Tour Championship.
