5. Jordan Spieth

1,400 points, 13 events (107.69 avg.)

One win, six top-tens

Last two weeks: MC AT&T Byron Nelson, T2 Dean & Deluca Invitational

Spieth finally got off his slide last week at Colonial by nearly turned a bogey-free Sunday into a victory. Despite hitting less than half his fairways, and just 44 of 72 greens in regulation, Spieth found his putter again, and ranked seventh in strokes gained putting. After seemingly feeling lost a week earlier at TPC Four Seasons, it looks like Spieth is on his way back to the top.

With the U.S. Open in just two weeks’ time, there couldn’t have been a better time for Spieth to get comfortable again. When Spieth is pressing, like we saw at Sawgrass and Las Colinas, things have a tendency to get ugly in a hurry. But, when he’s relaxed and trusting in himself and his stroke, he can win anywhere in the world. It’s what made him a superstar in the first place, and that’s something you simply can’t teach.

This week at Jack’s Place, we’ll get to see whether that was just a happy coincidence, or if Spieth can put a couple weeks together and get back near the top of these rankings once and for all.
