St. Jude Classic: Power Rankings for TPC Southwind
By Sam Belden
Jamie Lovemark
Solid but streaky over the past two seasons, Lovemark’s game has taken a noticeable turn for the better in recent weeks, making him stand out among the limited options in this week’s field. With his form and skill set, he should be able to navigate his way to success this week, despite the fact that he’s never seen a weekend at TPC Southwind.

- 2023 Zozo Championship: Top 10 power rankings at Narashino CC
- 2023 Shriners Children’s Open: Top 10 Power Rankings at TPC Summerlin
Lovemark will enter this week’s event on the heels of back-to-back top 20 finishes: a tie for 18th at the AT&T Byron Nelson and a tie for 10th at the Memorial Tournament just last week. That most recent finish brought him back up to the 93rd spot in the Official World Golf Ranking, so he remains within a reasonable distance of the world’s top players. Again, he’s never made a cut at the St. Jude Classic, but he’s also never played the event since becoming a PGA TOUR mainstay last season. His raw power and surging short game will work to his advantage.
He might not be a household name at this writing, but Lovemark’s game is good enough to warrant national attention sooner or later. He’d love to sneak into the field at U.S. Open by finding the winner’s circle this week.
