Kyle Stanley — $8,400

This Washington native’s track record at the FedEx St. Jude Classic isn’t much to speak of, but that’s okay — there are plenty of other reasons to get excited about Stanley this week. For one, he’s currently playing better than he has in years, so he could be poised to defy his history at TPC Southwind by making a run at the trophy.

With three top 10s in his last five starts, including a tie for sixth at THE PLAYERS Championship and a tie for fourth at the Memorial Tournament just last week, Stanley is enjoying his best campaign since the 2012 season, when he won his lone title at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. His skill with the longer clubs in his bag has been a big part of that success — he ranks seventh on the PGA TOUR in both strokes gained: off-the-tee and strokes gained: approach-the-green. His track record at TPC Southwind is a poor one, but let’s see if he can break that trend with his newfound form.

At $8,400 in DraftKings, Stanley makes a lot of sense as a medium-risk high-reward option for this week’s event. The 29-year-old is hitting it with confidence and has the right skill set for the job. Something has to give this week.
