St. Jude Classic: DraftKings picks for TPC Southwind

Steve Stricker — $7,900

This native Wisconsinite hasn’t been getting many reps in this year, but you shouldn’t let that scare you off. Even in limited action, Stricker has been remarkably steady over the past couple of seasons, and with some positive experience at the FedEx St. Jude Classic working in his favor, he should be a solid fantasy option this week.

Stricker very nearly won the title on his last trip to TPC Southwind, posting three rounds in the 60s to tie for second, just three strokes behind winner Daniel Berger. The 12-time PGA TOUR winner delivered a great performance off the tee that week, ranking second in driving accuracy; this season, he’s leading the entire circuit in that stat, so he looks poised for further success. Despite a light schedule, he’s managed to put up a pair of top 20s in his last four starts, including a tie for seventh at the Dean and DeLuca Invitational.

He may be a few years removed from his last PGA TOUR victory, but that doesn’t mean you should take your eye off of this veteran. He’ll cost you $7,900 in DraftKings this week, so he’s not the cheapest, but he still looks poised to provide a good return on investment.
