No. 7 Christopher Crawford

Christopher Crawford made U.S. Open news cycles twice in 2016. First, he drained a 40-foot birdie on his final hole to advance from local and sectional qualifying. Getting to Oakmont brought the Drexel grad some fanfare in his home state. It quickly turned to sympathy when he arrived on site. His caddy sprained his ankle while raking a bunker in a Tuesday practice round. Crawford went on to miss the cut.

Let’s give him some credit for making it back twice in a row. He’s got some game, too. Crawford’s a former Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and 2016 Pennsylvania Amateur champion.

He doesn’t play too many amateur events these days, but if he’s dialed in he can certainly make the cut.
