Ariya Jutanugarn is coming to the Meijer LPGA Classic flush with success. She notched her sixth Tour win last week at the Manulife LPGA Classic – her first playoff victory – and she bumped Lydia Ko off the top of the world rankings. That’s quite a plate-full for one week, but I have a feeling that Jutanugarn, who is remarkably modest, will take it all in stride and just keep playing golf.

With a well-turned game in her bag, Jutanugarn should contend this week. She knows the course, finished inside the top 20 last year. I don’t expect her to be focused on winning this week, but on maintaining her momentum and keeping her game tuned up. Still, she admitted that she won the Manulife last week not feeling at all good about her game, and telling herself to just get out there and play golf. So who knows what she’ll do with the Blythefield track.
