U.S. Open: Featured DraftKings picks for Erin Hills
By Sam Belden
Erin Hills is all set to play host to the 117th U.S. Open, but which players belong in your fantasy lineup?
U.S. Open week is finally upon us, and for golf fans, that means a frenzy of storylines and Twitter refreshes. Between Phil Mickelson’s will-he-or-won’t-he saga (he needs an assist from the weather at this point), an unfamiliar course in Erin Hills and the endless task of identifying the winner, there’s certainly a lot to talk about leading up to the opening tee time.
All of this clouds the fact that for fantasy managers, it’s business as usual — mostly. We still need to assemble the best lineups possible, and with a ton of unheralded players in the field, the combinations are seemingly endless.
Not that you’ll need to use any of those lesser-known names. The presence of so many elites means that there are several stars available at a reduced rate, so be sure to keep an eye out for those. Whether or not you decide to use them, you’ll be able to afford a lot more star power than in a normal PGA TOUR event, so have some fun with it.
Without further ado, let’s get to my picks for this week. Here are five solid bets for fantasy success at the U.S. Open. Each player’s DraftKings salary is listed next to his name.
