Daniel Berger — $8,000

Fresh off of a successful title defense at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, Berger should be brimming with confidence as he prepares for his third U.S. Open. He hasn’t contended for many majors in his career, but with his strong all-around game, this Florida native could be headed for a Sunday afternoon tee time as soon as this week.

Berger was on fire in Tennessee last week, ranking second in the field in strokes gained: off-the-tee and tied for 10th in greens in regulation. It was an impressive performance, but not a surprising one — on the season, he ranks inside the top 35 in three separate strokes gained categories. Put it all together, and this 24-year-old looks positively poised to make some noise at Erin Hills this week. It doesn’t hurt that he’s never missed a cut at the U.S. Open, notching a tie for 28th in 2014 and a tie for 37th last year.

At $8,000 in DraftKings, Berger should be one of the top middle-tier fantasy options in the field this week. He’s been in solid form for most of the year, and last week’s win may have been exactly what he needs to reach the next level.
