25-year-old Corey Conners took medalist honors at the Springfield, Ohio sectional thanks in large part to a course-record 61 at Springfield Country Club. Conners has two top-10 finishes on the Web.com Tour this year but has missed the cut in his last two starts.

Ben Kohles (No. 1129)

  • Last start: T-42: Rust-Oleum Championship (Web.com Tour)
  • 2016 U.S. Open: DNP

Ben Kohles’ professional career got off to a hot start. Back in 2012, he won his very first event as a pro, the Web.com Tour’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational, and then went and won the Cox Classic in his next start. He found his way to the PGA TOUR the following season but didn’t last long. He still plays the majority of his events on the Web.com Tour and has missed the cut in four of his last five starts.
