Kiradech Aphibarnrat is a flashy, hard-hitting, aggressive golfer and he delights the galleries. He also wins golf tournament, the 2013 Maybank Malaysian Open, 2015 Schenzhen International, and 2015 Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play.

His best 2017 finishes came early, at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (T4) and the Qatar Masters (T9).  In his six starts since Qatar he’s finished inside the top 20 three times and he’s not missed a cut. I’m thinking Aphibarnrat’s game, which has been up, down, up and down again this season, seems to be trending upward again since his low finish at the Volvo China Open. He could be ready for another high finish this week in Munich.

Aphibarnrat’s playing stats for the season, which average out his highs and lows, put in squarely him squarely in the middle of the Tour in both his long game and short game performance. That’s to be expected. When he’s in form, Aphibarnrat contends, and I’m looking for him to return to form in Munich.
