Pablo Larrazábal is one of three Spaniards in my power rankings this week. The 2007 Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year has three European Tour victories on his resume: Alstom Open de France (2008), BMW International Open (2011, 2013), and Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship (2014). He’ll be looking to add the 2017 BMW International to his resume.

Larrazábal hasn’t missed a cut at his 10 European Tour 2017 starts and with two top-5 finishes among those starts as well as three additional top-25s, Larrazábal is well positioned to add a fifth victory to his credits.

The Spaniard’s game strength comes in his uncanny ability to get himself onto the putting surface in a timely fashion and, once there, finish the job without any major disasters. He had a bit of a slump in his most recent start at the Nordea Masters, but I look for Larrazábal to be back in form this week. He’s bringing a positive history to the tee in Munich.
