Chez Reavie is one of those guys on the PGA TOUR who just isn’t getting the love he deserves right now. That’s not to say he should be a household name or anything. But, considering that he’s 35 years old and still busting his tail every week to maintain TOUR status, you have to respect the grind.

That grind is paying off to the tune of seven top-25 finishes in 20 starts for Reavie. Granted, he’s coming off about a four-month stretch of average play, at best. From February’s Waste Management Phoenix Open through the Dean & Deluca Invitational, Reavie once missed six cuts in seven starts, with the lone “highlight” a 27th place tie at Innisbrook. However, he’s flipped a switch recently that should give a him a big confidence boost.

Two weeks ago in Memphis, Reavie opened with rounds of 66-65 on his way to a tie for fourth place. This past week at the U.S. Open, he bounced back from a near-disastrous opening 75 to finishing tied for 16th. All-or-nothing mode isn’t terribly reliable, but being in “all” mode on that scale isn’t such a bad thing.

The former Arizona State Sun Devil has made each of his last four cuts at the Travelers Championship, finishing in 11th place in 2012 and 25th in 2015. Is there a little bit of magic left in the bag for Reavie this week?
