The Quicken Loans National power rankings drawn on a field of players unfamiliar with the event’s new host, TPC Potomac.

The Quicken Loans National takes the PGA TOUR to the Washington, D.C. area this week. One of the premier tournaments on the Tour schedule has a new host, which adds a unique twist to this week’s edition of the power rankings.

In 2010 the Quicken Loans National shifted away from its original course as Congressional Country Club prepared for the 2011 U.S. Open. After two years at Aronimink Golf Club, the tournament returned to Congressional in 2012, but the membership decided it would only host the tournament in alternating years beginning in 2014.

At that time, the decision was made for the 2017 tournament to move to TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, marking that track’s return to the Tour for the first time in 11 years. Previously host of the Kemper Open (known as the Booz Allen Classic in its final years), TPC Potomac was completely renovated in 2008 and 2009. Consider this, then, something of a revealed renewal of an old standby.

Of course, this tournament has gained significant renown from its host, Tiger Woods. While he’ll likely be absent this year attending to personal issues, that won’t stop some of golf’s stars from competing for the championship and celebrating those in the United States military who help make that possible.

With no further ado, let’s take a look at the 2017 field and jump into this week’s ranking.
