Rickie Fowler — $12,000

U.S. Open heartbreak aside, you have to like the way Fowler has been playing recently. Few players are able to get themselves into contention as often as he is, and with the PGA TOUR heading to a relatively unfamiliar venue in TPC Potomac, there’s no safer play in DraftKings this week.

With eight top 20 finishes in just 12 starts, Fowler has been one of the most consistent players on the planet this year. Among those finishes are a victory at the Honda Classic and a share of second place at the Memorial Tournament, so he’s clearly taking the regular stops seriously. Of course, the majors haven’t been quite as kind to him, but a tie for 11th at the Masters and a tie for fifth at the U.S. Open aren’t exactly results to sneeze at either. He ranks inside the top 20 on the PGA TOUR in both strokes gained: around-the-green and strokes gained: putting, a terrific combo.

Scar tissue aside, Fowler is in the right form to make something happen at the Quicken Loans National this week. His $12,000 salary is the most expensive in DraftKings, but you get what you pay for. Don’t risk being left behind by snubbing this superstar.
