C.T. Pan — $7,700

This native of Taiwan has fought through an up-and-down rookie campaign this year, but the highlights have been awfully high. Pan has already made good on his immense potential on multiple occasions this season, and you have to think that he’s got more in the tank as the PGA TOUR inches ever closer to its home stretch.

Pan looked every bit like a potential winner at TPC River Highlands last week, shooting a spectacular 64 on moving day to force his way into the fray. While he eventually faded to a Sunday 70 and a tie for eighth, that performance should give him a nice momentum boost as he prepares to make his first start at the Quicken Loans National. His season-long statistics may be lackluster, but he ranked 10th in strokes gained: approach-the-green and 12th in strokes gained: putting at the Travelers, not surprising given his impressive scores.

Bigger and better things are on the way for this former top-ranked amateur, but that doesn’t mean Pan can’t be of tremendous fantasy use this week. The numbers back up the low scores from his last start, and with this week’s unfamiliar venue, he’ll be on an even footing with everyone else. At $7,700, his DraftKings salary is reasonable enough.
