More from Golf Power Rankings

Justin Rose is one of the more adaptable players in the world. His game suits most any golf course, as demonstrated by positive strokes gained stats in every category this year on the PGA Tour.

He’s placed top five in each major in his career and is in fine form following his close call at Augusta in April.

He hasn’t played in the Irish Open in seven years and conceded in interviews that this week and next are diversions from the PGA TOUR to prep for The Open. Still, Rose is a competitor week in and week out.

Rose hasn’t missed a cut in a non-major since May 2016, amassing an 18-tournament streak in such events if you count the Olympics (which he won).

I like his demeanor to keep him afloat in the case of bad weather and he’s a reliable pick to at least be in contention this week at Royal Portstewart.
