Paul Dunne: OWGR – 165, Odds to Win – 80/1

Paul Dunne is still on the hunt for his first pro win but he came within an eye-blink at the 2017 Trophee Hassan II when he missed an 8-foot par putt on the first playoff hole, handing the victory to Edoardo Molinari.

Dunne made the golf world sit up and take notice when, playing as an amateur, he carded a third round 66 at the 2015 Open Championship and grabbed a share of the lead. Although he dropped back to a T30 finish, those of us who watched him knew Dunne’s time would come.

The young man from Dublin played collegiate golf for the Crimson Tide. Since turning pro he’s moved steadily up in the rankings to his career high finish at the Trophee Hassan II this year.

Is Dunne ready to notch his first European Tour win at Rory’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Open? It certainly would be a glorious victory!
