Dubai Duty Free Irish Open

Rory missed the cut, as did Throngchai Jaidee, Pablo Larrazábal, Paul Waring, and Tyrrell Hatton. Golf can be a humbling game!

Benjamin Herbert and Daniel Im held on to their lead and Jon Rahm clawed his way past Fisher and Southgate to grab hold of solo third going into moving day at Portstewart. This is the first time either Herbert or Im has held a 36-hole lead at a European Tour event.

Who thinks the Spaniard will grab the top of the leaderboard today? He’s starting at -12 and trailing Herbert and Im by a single stroke.

Although he’s starting Saturday bit further down the leaderboard – he’s at 6-under par – we need to give a hat tip to Matteo Manassero for his albatross at the par five seventh hole – a pin-point, 250 yard three iron shot, and the third albatross of the season on the European Tour.

Playing solo, Sam Walker leads off moving day at 7:50am local time with Daniel Im and Benjamin Herbert taking the tee at 1:30pm local time (which is GMT +1 for those who are able to do the math). Golf Channel coverage begins at 7:30am ET.

Let’s let the fans have the last word on today’s update of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open!
