The No. 10 slot in this week’s power rankings had a number of viable candidates, but ultimately I’m going with Kevin Na. Admittedly, most of his current year’s results don’t inspire confidence. Not counting the WGC – Dell Match Play, Na’s T22 at the Quicken Loans National was his first top-25 since mid-February.

That being said, Na has shown flashes of the form that led him to eight top-ten finishes just one year ago. Ranked 11th on TOUR in approach proximity, Na also ranks 38th in scrambling. That’s a handy skill to have, considering his 65.23 percent greens-in-regulation rate is good for just 106th on TOUR.

The best thing Na has going for him, though, is history. In just two previous trips to the John Deere Classic, Na has finished inside the top 15 both times, including a six-way tie for eighth in 2016. At 14-under for the tournament, Na shot 64 on Sunday last year, so he should have some positive momentum to draw on.
