The 2014 champion of the John Deere Classic, Brian Harman has alternated some outstanding results with some more average ones in recent weeks. His victory at the Wells Fargo Championship was followed by a T53 at The PLAYERS Championship. A tie for seventh at the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational was met with a missed cut (76-76) at the Memorial Tournament. And Harman’s runner-up finish at the U.S. Open led to a tie for 35th at the Travelers Championship.

I’m not normally one to say someone is “due”, but the pattern is there, isn’t it? Fresh and rested from a few well-earned weeks off, Harman heads to back to TPC Deere Run looking to add to an already solid resume in the Quad Cities.

Ranked eighth in strokes gained – putting, and 30th on TOUR in adjusted scoring, Harman certainly has the game to win here once again. His key will be to give himself those scoring chances. Harman ranked seventh in greens in regulation at Erin Hills, but just 50th at the Travelers Championship. Easier said than done, to be sure, but Harman will come prepared to do just that.
