Scottish Open top 10 power rankings
This is the time of year Branden Grace comes out to play. The South African is oft-overlooked around major championship season despite owning top-20 finishes in all four.
He’s fared well in his Open Championship prep in the past, too. He was under par in three of four rounds in last year’s Scottish Open en route to tying for 29th. He also tied for 17th in 2015 and lost to Phil Mickelson in a playoff in 2013.
I like Grace’s low ball flight this week and next, particularly if the winds are up.
If you decide to give him a go in your fantasy lineup, hope for rest, not rust: Grace has made just two starts since The PLAYERS in May and none since the U.S. Open.
Grace has not been in the mix to win a tournament in 2017 for the fourth year in a row, but he’s a reliable play with one missed cut in 14 starts in a PGA Tour heavy schedule. He owns two top-10s in his last four starts.
