Scott Brown was born in Augusta, Georgia, so I guess it makes sense that his game rises when he sees the familiar green and yellow splattered everywhere at the John Deere Classic.

He’s made himself at home in Silvis with four made cuts in five starts, including top-10s in 2012 (seventh) and 2014 (T5).

Brown has never posted an over-par round at TPC Deere Run and has been under par in 16 of 18 career rounds. He narrowly missed the cut in 2015, shooting two-under-par (69-71).

The 34-year-old got in contention last year with a pair of 66s to open the tournament. A 10-under 61 on Saturday in 2014 got him in the mix in 2014.

The main source of caution for Brown is his recent form. I don’t think it’s too much to worry about, but since a T2 in February at the Genesis Open, Brown has made only six of 12 cuts with only two finishes inside the top 35.
