There are holes out there that claim to have island greens. Then, there are holes that have legitimate, moving island green. Such is the case on No. 14 at Coeur d’Alene Resort in Idaho.

Seriously. It has its own dock and everything. Those guys at Sawgrass get to walk, but here you’re taking a seven-minute ferry ride to a green that plays anywhere from 140-220 yards on any given day. Gives you time to think about just how many Titleists you left in the lake on the way.

While many are sure to find this hole gimmicky and unnecessary, in reality, it highlights a beautiful part of the country that many will never go out of their way to see. It’s also a testament to course designer Scott Miller’s vision.

Coeur d’Alene, in its entirety, provides a magnificent golfing experience in a way few others can. The island green is simply a delicious cherry on top of the perfect golf sundae.
