Barbasol Championship: Top 10 power rankings
In a tie for third at the 2015 Barbasol Championship with our guys at No. 10, Kim, and No. 8, Shelton, was Barnes. A meager one-under-par 70 in the final round kept him from his first Tour win.
You’d have to think one of these days the 36-year-old will find the winner’s circle. Why not this week?
He tied for 35th at the Barbasol in 2016 and is having a respectable 2017 with the playoffs in sight. Barnes has made nine of his last 11 cuts and seems to be seeking a low round or two to climb higher than his season-best T17 at the Quicken Loans National
Barnes is a solid putter (50th strokes gained) and tends to perform well in adverse conditions. Rain is not in the early forecast, but temperatures will be in the mid-90s all week.
Could Barnes become the first first-time winner at the Barbasol?
