Matt Kuchar Open Championship

Matt Kuchar is likely flying under a lot of observers’ radar this week, and that’s a good thing for your Daily Fantasy lineup.

Kuchar comes to Royal Birkdale with five straight top-25 finishes to his credit. After a run on the PGA Tour that culminated in a tie for 16th place at Erin Hills, Kuchar took a full month off from competitive golf. He returned this past week at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open with a tie for fourth place, just five off the lead of a streaky Rafa Cabrera Bello.

That’s kind of Kuchar in a nutshell though, isn’t it? Quiet and unassuming, but when he’s truly feeling it, he’ll put in the time and effort necessary to beat you into submission, too.

Kuchar’s driving won’t take him out of this tournament off the tee; he’s currently ranked 41st in fairway percentage on the PGA Tour, and 48th in greens-in-regulation. Ranked 25th in par-4 scoring, Kuchar will have plenty of scoring chances, which translates into more potential points for you.

At $7,200 out of your $50,000 budget, that should leave more than enough options for you to round out your lineup with more expensive stars late on.
