If you’re going to start a five-figure player this week – and for reference, I don’t think you do – then your best value can be found in none other than the reigning Masters champ, Sergio Garcia.

Garcia boasts the fifth-highest price this week, coming in behind Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, and (surprisingly) Rory McIlroy. He’s only a hair more expensive, though, than Justin Rose and Jason Day, so if you’re looking for a superstar in your lineup, the $1000 or so you save passing on Spieth can add some depth to your lineup.

That’s not even touching on the fact that Sergio brings more than enough game to justify the price. With ten Open Championship top-tens to his resume (with just 13 in the other three majors combined), it would be more of a surprise for Garcia not to contend this week than it would be for him to hoist the Claret Jug for his second major.

Garcia has enjoyed some well-earned time off over the last month, with his last appearance being a tie for second at the BMW International Open. He’s third on the PGA Tour and second on the European Tour in scoring average, and hasn’t seemed to slow down much even with the green jacket in his wardrobe.

All things considered, you won’t get much better bang for your premium DraftKings buck than Sergio Garcia at Royal Birkdale.

Good luck filling out your lineups this week!
