A rookie tops the Marathon Classic leaderboard!
Rookie Nelly Korda has been playing to the top of the Marathon Classic leaderboard since Thursday so it’s not surprising to see her leading the way into the final round today.
At 13-under, Korda is two shots clear of In-Kyung Kim, her closest challenger. It’s not a done deal for Korda. She still has to hold off eight players who are within four shots of her lead and will be pressing her hard.
Lexi Thompson and Brittany Lincicome are both solid final round competitors and they’re within reach of Korda’s lead. Gerina Piller, who went into Saturday leading, dropped back a bit but she’s only three shots off the lead. A birdie here and there on one side of the equation and a bogey on the other could quickly equalize the situation.
There was a little bit of something for everybody at the Marathon.
