The Ian Poulter reclamation tour marches on. From being on the brink of losing status on TOUR, all the Englishman has done is reel off eight straight made cuts beginning with his T2 at the PLAYERS Championship.

The 41-year-old finished T41 at the Irish Open, T14 at the Scottish Open and T9 at the Open Championship in his European swing. This will be Poulter’s fourth start in as many weeks, and with a playoff spot locked up and the PGA Championship in two weeks, perhaps Poulter will finally sputter out.

I don’t see it, though, as I envision him riding the wave to contend for his first worldwide win since 2012.

His ballstriking has been outstanding of late, which has led to a .643 strokes gained mark around the green (second on Tour) and .761 strokes gained tee to green (sixth). If the putter is serviceable this week (-.419 strokes gained putting, 177th), watch out.
