Thomas Bjørn has enjoyed a long and successful pro golf career and like others who are playing toward the end of professional competition, Bjørn is an admired and respected elder statesman of the links.

In addition to his 15 European Tour titles and his Ryder Cup and World Cup victories, the Dane also has a game in his bag and he’s not quite ready to hang up his sticks. Two weeks ago Bjørn finished inside the top-20 at the Scottish Open, no mean feat given the quality and strength of that field.

For the money Bjørn is a bargain. His game is steady and consistent and while he’s not going to set any records this week at the European Open I have every confidence that he’ll deliver the same off-the-tee, down-the-fairway, onto-the-green performance that we saw at Dundonald Links.
