One of these days, Keegan Bradley is going to put it all together again. As much as the change to the conventional putter hurt him in 2016, the 31-year-old has bounced back nicely in 2017.
Bradley has five top-ten finishes in 23 starts this season, and nine top-25’s. Two of those top-tens came recently, with Bradley tying for eighth at the Travelers Championship, then following it up with a fifth-place tie at the Quicken Loans National.
It’s no secret that Bradley having a sub-par putting year – he ranks 139th on the PGA TOUR in Strokes Gained: Putting – but he’s doing most everything else right. Keeping the ball in play and hitting greens will be a major factor at Glen Abbey, and Bradley ranks in the top-30 in both driving accuracy (66.82%) and greens in regulation (68.59%) in 2017.
This will be Bradley’s first start at the RBC Canadian Open, but that shouldn’t hold him back at all. Bradley hasn’t won since the 2012 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but that dry spell could finally be over this week.
